Author

Start-up Dives is written by me, Divesh Kumar. I am based in Toronto, and am deeply interested in the businesses that are bringing innovation, capital and employment to Canada.

I work at Shopify and have previously held roles at Uber, Amazon, and STIR Education (a non-profit start-up), where I focused on strategy, operations, and project management. I received an MBA from Yale School of Management and am an engineer by training.

I have been learning about the Canadian tech scene since I moved to Toronto in 2018. I have interviewed at several of these businesses and have done thorough research on their business models, strategy, market challenges and growth prospects.

Through Start-up Dives, I will be sharing my comprehensive notes with anyone who is interested in these companies and can benefit from my research and perspective.
